Controls
The Siesta window awning is operated by a Terylene tape, secured by a self-locking device that engages as soon as the tape is released. Alternatively, a gear drive can be provided. Both internal and external operations are available.
A special offset fitting enables a Siesta awning to be wider than the window to be fitted, while still allowing the operating tape to pass through the casement. Electric operation is also available using a Somfy motor and can be complemented by automatic solar and wind controls. Several awnings, connected together, can be operated at once.
